Thoms&Nillson is a designer studio. I came across their web presentation accidentally, but on their web you can find relly godd, fresh ideas. I'm really impressed by their designs.

Common mistake of webdesign beginners

This screen comes from BiA CoD:UO klan website. From Guestbook. The firs mistake I can see is the image on the background. You can see the wish of the creator to ensure the guest that the guestbook is DEFINETLY about CoD. But usualy such images are useless and only lowers the readeability. The aqua color of the title text is quite good expect the fact that the textfields has white background. And the "yellow" text isn't good on the background picture.

How to make the layout better? At first you have to chnge the background picture (or better, remove it and use solid color) to somthing tileable. The mess-up with the text / titles / link colors to make everything readeable. Didn't help? Contact me on my ICQ# 325-102-524

My fairytale

Today, when browsing blogger I came across a nice blog. Well, the word 'nice' is misquiding. Is nice, BUT BADLY designed. I always feel very sad about such pages. Pages with good content (in this particular case I didn't read very deep) and nice, inovative design, coded badly or only for MSIE. I must say, I really like the layout, despite of the fact, that it's not using the area effectively. The image on the side adds that familiar feel and makes the site look in the very right way. The way that fairytales are. Warmly, friendly and peacefully. But one thing is still bothering me. The blue paragraph. OMG! It ruins the overal image. What a shame. I wish good luck to the creator (really *NO OFFENSE* in this post, just statement).

FW with 101st Paratroopers

Yesteradays FW with 101st clan was guite good. Despite of the problems at the beginning. It was a fair game. 101st is better clan, for sure, and therefore the result 29:11 is good.

Weekend, finally

The weekend is finally here. Happy that so. Yesterday we had a FW again. With clan named 'NoMercy'. First map mp_uo_depot. Not bad, but we loose. Next map was mp_harbor. Everything was going ok till after first round before the sides-change the 'NoMercy' clan left the game with no explanation. We all were really pissed off. That's not fair game.

Yesterday's clan friendy war

Yesterday was quite a bussy day. I was in school from 6 till 14. Bleh! But after that we (me & our Call of Duty: United Offensive Clan) had a friendly war with clan called Licence to Kill. The war was going in good way, till we realised that the server is strangely set-up. Despite of this fact, it was a nice war. I think that our teams are equal. The result is that we lost the match 17:12. We were offered a revenge because of the trange setting of that server. We'll discuss it and I think we will agree.

So GOOD LUCK everybody.

Today my university lessons started at 8:00am (that really suxx). I hate waking up before 8 :[ the timetable is that badly designed that after one and half hour block i have four hours free time. as long as the bus home goes only once in two hours i have to stay in liberec. it's pretty ncie town, but after two days there is nothing new there :( When I woke up in the morning, I realized that I'm unuseable. Going there is useless, I thought. So I got back to the bed and slept till 12:00 :D Than I had to go. After that another 1,5 hour block and then home! well, not home but to the driving-licence training lessons. i'm happy that i can finally make my driving licence. but that's another topic. today is too late. probably tomorrow.
